Duties will include:

  • U.K wide and possible international travel
  • You will be involved with the installation and maintenance of Uninterruptable Power Sources (UPS) and Generators.
  • Support installation and commissioning activities
  • You will be inspecting installed units 
  • Conduct servicing and PPM 
  • Attend breakdowns identifying root causes of problems
  • Diagnose faults and conduct repairs inline with company guidlines
  • Complete reports identifying all work undertaken
  • Work safely at all times

Other information

  • The company is located on the Segensworth Industrial Estate, you will need to be able get here reliably.
  • This role involves travel and possible overnight stays away. 
  • By the time you commence fulltime employment you will need to hold a full driving license for this position.
  • You will eventually be on a call out Rota (with enhanced pay)

Skills required:

  • A knowledge of electrical and electronics is preferred.
  • Good basic hand skills and an interest in maintenance is required.
  • You will also need good communication skills,
  • A logical approach to problem solving
  • Ambitious with a strong team working ethos

Personal qualities

  • You will have good written and spoken communication skills be punctual, reliable and responsible.
  • You will work well as a team member, be able to work effectively with a wide variety of people and be willing to assist when required.
  • Well organised, good at planning ahead and can meet deadlines.
  • You will need to be focused and self-motivated

Qualifications required

  • A minimum requirement of 3 GCSE’s at a C grade or above in English and Maths is required.
  • You will preferably have achieved a Btec National Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or A levels in Electronics and a Science.
  • You will be expected to progress and complete all qualifications in your appprenticeship framework
