An exciting Apprenticeship opportunity has arisen within the Finance team at Safran Helicopter Engines based in Segensworth North.  As the Finance Apprentice you will support the Finance team e.g. VAT returns and military audits.

Duties will include:

Main responsibilities

  • Monthly reports – Military other expenses, Military utilisation and hours
  • Month end requirements
  • Military sales forecast
  • LSF testing
  • Reconciliations/checks – Company cars, repair and maintenance
  • Key customer accounts – monitoring Leonardo and intercompany, chasers, statements, remittance
  • SAP access profiles

 

Main Activities will include:
  • Variance analysis – where requested
  • Archiving champion
  • VAT checks
  • SAP supplier reviews
  • Compliance team cover – supplier set up, credit checks etc
  • 5s audits (finance) – sort, set in order, shine, standardise & sustain
  • Assist with military audits
  • Procedure documentation
  • Fixed asset requirements
  • SAP master data reviews
  • GRNI (goods received not invoiced) reviews
  • Ad hoc requests to finance department

Skills required:

Must:

  • GCSE English, Maths and IT grades A*- C or equivalent
  • Demonstrate they can operate Microsoft Excel and Word

Should:

  • Understand basic book keeping – reconciliations, keeping records

Could:

  • Previous finance experience
  • AAT Level 1
  • Double entry understanding
