The Borrow Foundation has an immediate vacancy for an Apprentice Office Administrator. The post will include general office administration however will give the successful candidate an opportunity to learn about the charity as a whole. A great introduction to the world of administration in friendly, quiet and beautiful surroundings.

Based at Padnell Grange in Cowplain, the Foundation is working in the health field, in collaboration with the World Health Organisation and other international organisations and institutes around the world. Their mission is to promote the improvement of oral health, primarily in children, through the prevention of oral diseases. Their main source of income is from property through a wholly owned subsidiary company, Borrow Investments Ltd. This is an area of our work that is currently expanding.

Duties will include:

  • Answering the telephone
  • Receiving visitors
  • Opening / sending mail
  • Ordering stationary
  • Photocopying, filing and other general office duties
  • Assisting with ongoing projects
  • Helping to load information onto the charity’s website
  • Inputting data and maintenance of the database
  • New project work

Other information

  • The charity is located in a semi-rural location, accessible by public transport however there will be a 5-10 minute walk to get to their site.

Skills required:

  • IT user skills especially in Microsoft Office
  • Good interpersonal skills

  • Well-spoken individual with a good telephone manner
  • Polite and well mannered
  • Professional attitude to work and learning
  • Williing to learn and progress through the apprenticeship
  • Motivated to succeed
