To provide administrative and business support within a busy and proactive office environment within Portsmouth City Centre. This is an ideal starting point for someone who has an interest in business administration and wishing to further themselves.

Duties will include:

This role will offer the suitable applicant an opportunity to gain valued experience and knowledge working for a succesful  local business.  Working with and for local and National small Ltd Companies and private clients. You will need to have a proactive and committed attitude and a desire to succeed. 

Skills required:

  • Reception duties – answering calls, meeting and greeting clients and visitors and ensuring their visit is successful
  • Administration work to support the day to day processes within the office
  • Dealing with client enquiries
  • Updating clients on progress
  • Deraling with life insurance products
  • Opening and distributing the post
  • Database Management and Database entry
  • Organising the office layout and maintaining supplies of stationary and equipment
  • Writing reports for senior management, which may include reports on finances, staff performance, service development or an annual review
  • Attending conferences and external training
  • Good communicator with strong service ethic and customer focus.

  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic to succeed

  • Organised to manage own workload
  • Manages change with a positive attitude
  • Team player, supporting colleagues as appropriate

Qualifications required:

  • GCSE Grade C or above (4-9) in English Language and Mathematics or equivalent
