PETA bids a fond farewell to valued colleagues on their retirement

Article summary: The PETA team recently bid a fond farewell to two valued colleagues who have decided the time is right to embark on a very well deserved retirement!

PETA Accountant Sue Sinclair was thanked by PETA CEO Huw Chapman for her contribution to our organisation, which includes keeping our finances in shape for the past 7 years. Huw presented Sue with flowers and a gift from the company and her colleagues.

Sue is off to enjoy travels with her husband and also plans to spend as much time as possible with her family, particularly her grandchildren.

Catering Assistant Jo Owen has been part of the PETA team for 30 years! Working as one of the catering support staff, Jo has been at the hub of preparing and serving delicious meals to our delegates and staff for three decades. Dawn Halfacre, Director of Operations, presented Jo with flowers and a gift as a thank you and farewell.

At Jo’s presentation, we recounted the days when PETA was based in Acorn Business Park in a small unit, to launching the Conference Centre at 1 Acorn Business Park through to the move to our current home at Access Point over 15 years ago. Jo will soon be off to Mauritius to enjoy some R&R and is looking forward to spending lots of time with her family and grandchildren in the coming months and years.

From everyone at PETA, we wish both of our colleagues a happy, healthy and wonderfully enjoyable retirement as they embark on this new chapter in their lives.

Sue Sinclair
