To work in a supported learning environment to develop the skills and knowledge which will assist the apprentice to complete their qualification and secure employment and progress their career in the future. You will be trained and mentored to be able to assist in the timely delivery of i-wonder projects to clients through the extensive and effective use of project co-ordination, product configuration and training skills, and the application of in-depth i-wonder product knowledge.

Duties will include:

  • To undertake a development programme leading to a National Vocational Qualification as part of the apprenticeship
  • Assist in the management of day-to-day activity for 2-5 concurrent I-wonder projects from specification to post-delivery phases.  This includes:
    • Managing client expectations.
    • Overseeing internal deliveries and timescales.
    • Reporting progress and risks to Project Manager
  • Assist in managing Change Control (including documentation and delivery thereof).
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of project plans.
  • Act as one of the main points of contact for client within the project team
  • Acting as point of escalation (for Testing/Support) for fault queries and/or specification ambiguities.

Product knowledge:

  • To proactively build and maintain an in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of I-wonder products and remain abreast of planned product developments.


  • Contributes to the development, documentation, and maintenance of departmental procedures required to promote efficient running and maintain the expected level of quality within the department.
  • To attend and/or call internal and/or project progress meetings as required and be responsible for any associated activities such as chairing the meeting, production of minutes, and completion of follow-up actions.
  • Application of project implementation and I-wonder product knowledge and expertise to assist in analysis, specification, design and change process activities as from time to time will be required.

Other information

  • This position would suit an individual who has a keen interest in Business Administration and Project Management.
  • Ideally you will have some knowledge or experience in any or some of the fields above to support your application, although this is not essential.

 Qualifications required

  • GCSE English Grade C and above or equivalent
  • GCSE Maths Grade C and above or equivalent
  • GCSE ICT Grade C and above or equivalent
