Raymarine UK Limited are looking for an apprentice to join their Business Support Team in an exciting and busy role with opportunities for progression within the team and the business as a whole. The successful candidate will also work closely with the Commercial, Product Support and Marketing departments.

Duties will include:

  • Reception of customers, visitors and corporate visitors
  • Handling customer calls, answer enquiries and/or refer customers to the right channel and field experts, stationery and other office management orders as appropriate
  • International travel arrangements and booking reservations
  • Prepare quotations upon customer demands or new business
  • Maintain correspondence files and other administrative procedures within the department to ensure a smooth and orderly processing of administrative support
  • Deal with incoming calls and emails from dealers and end users
  • Make outgoing telephone calls to existing customers to ensure good levels of customer satisfaction and ensure all possible revenue streams are fulfilled
  • Data processing and statistical tables, stock level updates/status
  • Maintain close communication and liaison with the Commercial, Product Support and Marketing Departments to ensure good coordination
  • Management of promotional sales information, mailings, mailing of catalogues, prices lists, letters and relationships with couriers, mail management
  • Manage relationships with commercial/clients

 This list is not exhaustive and other duties will be required from time to time.

 Other information:

  • The company is located at a remote industrial estate with minimal public transport.
  • May be required to travel to seminars and conferences etc

Skills required:

  • Relevant experience within the office environment, customer service or business administration
  • Knowledge of MS Office, Excel and Word
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Sailing knowledge desirable but not essential.

 Personal qualities:

  • Team player
  • A ‘can do’ attitude
  • Strong drive – to close issues and get the best combined solution

 Qualifications required:

  • GCSE grades A-C in Maths and English or equivalent
  • Formal qualification in Business Administration and/or commercial finance (desirable)
