Based in the Digital Team, this is a great position providing project administration support to the team and other areas of support services. A fantastic opportunity to get to know all about the RYA and their departments with good routes of progression with the organisation.

Duties will include:

To provide project administration support primarily to the Digital Team, but also for projects in other areas of Support Services – Information Services and Finance.

 

  • Owner of project documents
  • Frequent communication with technical leads on projects requesting updates
  • Flagging any missed project milestones
  • Taking minutes for all project meetings, and circulating as required / following up actions

 

  • The Digital, IS and Finance teams work across a number of business wide projects bringing together subject matter experts from other areas of the business
  • The Project Administrator will work closely with the Digital ,IS and Finance Managers to provide project support and administration throughout these projects
  • Projects are predominately technical in nature
  • Day to day workload is co-ordinated by the Department Administrator/Co-ordinator.

 

  • To provide administrative support in Project Management for specific projects across the Support Services department
  • To take and circulate minutes, notes and action points from all project related meetings
  • To manage diaries and meeting appointments across all project leads, and key technical and business staff during specific projects
  • To maintain, update and make available project overviews, timelines, risk logs and action logs for all specified projects
  • To provide updates to specific project contributors for overdue or delayed actions.
  • To provide support for Quality Assurance Testing, and User Acceptance Testing across all specified projects including time management and testing logs
  • To provide backup phone coverage for the digital website support team (external calls)

Skills required:

  • Excellent written communication skills, accurate spelling and grammar.
  • Accurate keyboard skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills, especially on the telephone.
  • Ability to deal with a wide range of people.
  • Ability to work under pressure without sacrificing accuracy.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise workload.
  • Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Understanding of databases (training will be given on RYA systems).
  • Knowledge of sailing and boating is not required but favourable
  • Knowledge of project management software, tools and techniques is favourable
  • Some technical knowledge of IT is desirable as this position is within the digital team

Qualifications required:

  • GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English Language, grade A*-C (4-9) is preferred but not essential
  • Educated to Level 3 is preferred but not required
