An exciting opportunity has arisen to start your career in Administration with a excellent company in Chichester. As an Administrator you are a key member of the Admin & Finance Team and contribute to maintaining an efficient and accurate administrative function within MG Duff International Ltd.

MG Duff International Ltd is one of the foremost authorities on surface protection specialising in Corrosion prevention in many industry sectors and the marine industry in particular as well as providing hygienic surface finishes to the construction industry.

Duties will include:

Key Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities

  • First line reception
  • Processing of stock invoices
  • Producing business procedure instructions (BPI’s)
  • Checking supplier purchase statements & freight invoices
  • Entering mileage for fuel analysis
  • Receipting in, building and analysing stock
  • Processing purchase & sales orders
  • Dispatching and preparing carrier paperwork
  • Invoicing and emailing customers
  • Responding to customer queries
  • General office administration
  • Any other tasks and or duties as requested by the Financial Director and/or any Company Director
  • Engage in on-going training pertaining to the job role and to the development of other skills that may be identified.
  • To understand and follow the code of conduct and procedures contained within the company handbook and quality manual

Other information:

  • You will be working towards the Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship Standard within this role, which requires 20% of your time to be dedicated to training either in the workplace or in a PETA training centre.

Skills required:

Desired skills:

  • Good computer skills especially Excel, Word and other MS Office software
  • Good commercial awareness
  • Good level of numeracy, literacy and accuracy

 Personal qualities:

  • Willing to learn and progress through the apprenticeship programme
  • A good attitude to learning and developing
  • Confident and personable attitude and demeanor

 Qualifications required:

  • GCSE or equivalent grade A*-C (5-9) in Maths and English

Benefits:

  • Pension scheme is offered at 1% contribution each form the apprentice and the company during a probation period. Thereafter this will be raised to 4%
  • Performance based bonus is available of £300 per year paid quarterly if successful

 Future Prospects:

  • Progression routes are available within the company for the right candidate upon successful completion of the apprenticeship programme.
