This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring Digital Marketer to join a market leading full service integrated digital agency based in Southampton, UK. This apprenticeship will give you the opportunity to build your knowledge and skills within Digital Marketing in a fun and highly sociable business.

Uncommon Knowledge Global Marketing Ltd (Atelier Studios) specialise in solid front-end creativity, beautifully crafted marketing campaigns and cutting edge back-end development, as well as marketing strategies, digital marketing, search engine optimisation (SEO), pay per click advertising (PPC), and social media marketing.

Uncommon Knowledge is based within the magnificent surroundings of Southampton Science Park, Chilworths hidden gem for Hampshire business. The beautiful landscaped grounds include a 40 acre open-access area incorporating ancient woodland, an ecology meadow, an arboretum and lake -  a perfect location to gain inspiration, motivation, and creativity! Their modern, state of the art office boasts a bright, open-plan working space, functional meeting rooms and neighbors including: BSkyB, Cisco Systems and Merck.

The company has also been recently selected by Google to join their Elevator Programme - an elite coaching program for the Top 30 Google Partner agencies in the UK. Recognised for consistent year on year growth, successful client campaigns and strong future potential, Uncommon Knowledge were selected from a pool of approximately 30,000 agencies across the UK to take part. Duties will include:

  • Working on SEO strategies for our clients to help improve their rankings in Google and other search engines
  • Conducting keyword research and analysis to determine ways to increase page rankings and online visits
  • Seeking out and embracing fresh and innovative ideas to meet client requirements and to continue to position ourselves as a leading digital performance agency
  • Basic use of Google Adwords to support with the management of PPC campaigns
  • Writing high quality content for websites and marketing campaigns
  • Working “behind the scenes” in managing social media campaigns
  • Reporting on our overall Digital Marketing program success

  •  Some flexibility on start / finish time if necessary

Skills required:

  • An effective communication manner with a fluid and enthusiastic presentation style
  • Excellent English skills, especially within: writing, editing and proofing
  • A good understanding of digital marketing and what it entails
  • A willingness to learn while picking up new skills quickly
  • Knowledge of popular social media platforms
  • A demonstrable interest in digital marketing
  • Ninja like web skills
  • A strategic mind
  • Analytical skills

 

Personal qualities 

  • A personal interest in digital marketing, social media and / or blogging
  • Willingness to learn and progress through the programme  
  • Outgoing with a good sense of humour
  • Enthusiastic

 

Qualifications required

  • Preferred GCSE or equivalent in English, Maths, and IT grade A* - C (5 – 9)
