An exciting opportunity as arisen for an Apprentice IT Technician to join the business within the busy IT team at ENL Limited! The successful applicant will be primarily supporting a line of business applications and hardware that help the company operate and trade effectively. You will use your knowledge of application support and troubleshooting skills to ensure smooth operation of applications, equipment and processes.
ENL Limited is a family business and a leading manufacturer of technical plastic mouldings, with facilities in both the UK and Slovakia. Established for over 50 years, the business has built an enviable list of long-term customers across a range of manufacturing industries.

One of only a handful of plastic injection moulders with both AS9100 and TS16949 certifications; ENL has the capability to meet an extremely wide range of needs. From low volume parts produced in small batches, to high volume parts associated with industries such as: aerospace, automotive, medical, office equipment, furniture and the materials handling industries.

Duties will include:

  • Installation, maintenance and support of IT equipment
  • Installation, maintenance and support of software
  • Work in line with all procedures and policies
  • Other ad-hoc tasks when required
  • Manage stock of IT consumables
  • Troubleshooting network issues
  • Installing cables (after training)
  • End-user support (first line)
  • Reporting to IT Manager
  • End-user training

 Other information:

  • The company is located at a remote industrial estate with minimal public transport i.e. 15 minute walk to nearest train station (Hilsea Train Station) and 10 minute walk from nearest bus stop(s) (Copythorn Road Bus Stop - Buses: 2, 17, 21, 25).
  • Will involve the occasional involvement in implementation of various IT projects

Skills required:

  • Understanding of end-user IT hardware 
  • Problem solving / troubleshooting
  • Good written and verbal English

Qualifications required:

  • GCSE grade C (4) to A* (9) in English and Maths (or equivalent)


  • 25 paid days per year plus public holidays – some of the 25 day entitlement will be reserved for company shutdowns
