Council Members
PETA is both a company limited by guarantee and a registered charity. Our Board is known as the Council and elected Councillors serve as both Non-Executive Directors and Trustees.
New Councillors are elected at the Annual General Meeting for a term of three years but may stand for re-election. Appointments to fill mid term vacancies are authorised by the Council and then ratified at the following AGM.
The Board has a normal structure of 14 and meet four times a year with each meeting lasting no longer than approximately two hours.
We particularly like to hear from Directors and Senior Managers who are willing to give of their time to play an active role in guiding the business to the benefit of its Members and the wider community as a whole.
