Training Options
We recognise the importance of making the right choice when choosing your training partner, that’s why we offer a range of delivery options, so you can select the best fit for your needs.

Open courses
Open, or public courses, are detailed within the course section of this website by subject area and offer a rich learning environment where attendees can share real life experience with delegates from other businesses. This is a great way to place learning into context with realistic situations and encourages the sharing of ideas, allowing learners to take practical approaches directly back to the workplace.
At anytime, see our course subject area links on the left menu or use the search at the top of this website. Our open courses are arranged into the following categories...
- Engineering Training
- Health and Safety Training
- ICT Training
- Lift Truck Training
- Management and General Training
Company sponsored courses
If you have identified a course either on this website or within our Directory which you feel would fit your needs exactly or requires refinement so that when it is delivered your course reflects your business processes or specific issues then the company sponsored option is exactly what you need.
We will work with you to not only ensure the content reflects your needs and matches your business but we will also work with you to understand your exact requirements and the impact for your business to ensure what we deliver actually gives you a return on your investment.
Group training
Group Training is where you are able to release several people all at the same time and thus benefit from the discounts available on a group basis.

Block options
Some of our courses show a block option where you are offered the choice to either attend a course over several days across several weeks or opt to attend the days consecutively. For instance 5 days in a row or 5 days, one day a week.
NEBOSH distance learning
The NEBOSH Open learning option provides the opportunity to study and learn in your own time, from the comfort of your own home. An ideal alternative for delegates who are unable to attend the 12 day NEBOSH course.
Vocational qualifications
These qualifications offer the flexibility of learning on-the-job and is a great way to motivate your workforce through not only developing their skills and knowledge but also giving recognition to what they can do, and there may be opportunities to secure funding for this type of learning. The range of qualifications available is tremendous with Management and Leadership, ITQ, Customer Service, Team Leading, Business Administration and Business Improvement Techniques (BITS) to name but a few.
Apprenticeships
A great option for developing and enhancing skills of your workforce is through a formal Apprenticeship programme. The beauty of this option is that the individual is with you contributing to your business whilst undertaking the Apprenticeship thus reducing the need to be away from the workplace. In addition, if the individual falls within the Government criteria then the Apprenticeship can be funded. Don’t forget that Apprenticeships are available in a wide range of subject areas such as; Engineering, Customer Service, ICT, Business Administration and many more.
Experiential learning
Experiential learning is a term used for learning by being involved in an activity first hand, reflecting on the experience then applying the learning to future experiences to get more from these. Rather than read or be told about theories, others experiences or views, the individual is able to truly experience something that can be contextualised back in the work environment.
Many of us will understand this as an outward bound activity where teams work together in an ‘out-of-work’ environment to increase communication, motivation, confidence, mutual trust and support amongst many other things. An alternative to the outward bound activity is actor-led training. This is a great way to build an extremely powerful and impactful scenario (created using one of your own examples) which emphasises people’s actions and gives individuals the opportunity to see acted scenarios unfold in front of them. It is best used in areas such as Customer Service, Equality and Diversity, Discipline and Grievance, all where the actions of individuals are imperative to a successful business.
