The Alarming Company is one of the largest providers of security, CCTV and access control systems on the south coast. For over twenty-four years we have worked with large organisations, small businesses and private individuals to protect people and properties.
The Business Administrator Apprentice will be responsible for offering general administrative support to the office. The main duties of this role will include:
Answering inbound calls, supporting colleagues to arrange customer installations and service calls using our diary system.
Setting up customers and sites using our bespoke database, correcting any errors in our data when found.
Carrying out administrative tasks for team members when required such as scanning, filing and photocopying.
Using Microsoft Word to create quotes for our customers and also creating welcome packs.
Learning and understanding the company’s security systems and service that is provided to our customers.
It would be preferable if the candidate could drive because access to the office is difficult via public transport or cycling.
Security vetting will be conducted once a suitable candidate has been found.

Computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel an advantage.
Interest in Business Studies desirable but not essential
GCSE Maths and English at grade A*-C / 4-9 or Level 2 equivalent
20 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
Training to be provided
This position is offered as an apprenticeship and you will be completing a Level 3 Business Administration qualification. You will be employed directly by the client but be support every step of the way by PETA.
The majority of your training will be completed with your employer at your place of however, throughout the duration of the apprenticeship you will be required to attend one of our PETA training centres for off the job training.
