The Business Administrator Apprentice role offers a fantastic opportunity to join a successful and rapidly growing business with a variety of exciting progression routes available to a successful candidate. The apprenticeship offers you exposure to a variety of areas within in the business including, Sales & Marketing, Customer Service, Business Admin and Accountancy. There are also opportunities to work directly with the senior management team and see the running of the business firsthand. Our objective when taking on an apprentice is always that they will become a full-time member of the team. The progression routes are exciting and varied, with previous apprentices taking up roles in accountancy, customer service, sales or even management positions.
Training to be provided
Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard. You will complete a 15 month apprenticeship which includes 10 days at the PETA training centre in Cosham. You will be supported every 6 weeks with visits from your PETA Learning & Development Coach.
About the role
The Business Administrator Apprentice position offers a huge variety of tasks and will be tailored to the strengths of the successful candidate. The areas and tasks that might be covered include:
Assisting the accounts team with delivery of services
Requesting accounting data from clients
Sending out completed documents for client approval
Managing client expectations around delivery deadlines
There is also an opportunity to gain exposure to some technical elements of accounting tasks if it’s an area the candidate has an interest in
Sales & Marketing
Providing support to our sales team with new client onboarding and set up
This will include contacting new clients to walk them through the process and ensure that each step is completed accurately
Assisting in the preparation of marketing and sales reports to ensure targets are met
Scanning & processing client data
Updating reports and spreadsheets
Managing client payments
Inbound and Outbound calls
Managing client expectations
Managing queries internally to ensure response times are met
Researching and preparing responses for more complex queries with the support of supervisors
Monday - Thursday 08:50 - 17:30, Friday 08:50 - 16:40 (40 hours per week with 30 minutes for lunch).
We are looking for a Business Administrator Apprentice who is motivated to learn and deliver, who has strong organisational skills and can communicate effectively as part of our team. This role is an excellent opportunity to progress rapidly within a fast growing business and as such we are looking for someone who is up to that challenge. Key skills/qualities:
Keen learner who is looking to take on new skills
A flexible and enthusiastic approach; adaptability is a big part of our business
Attention to detail
Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
Good IT skills and ability to learn new systems
GCSEs in maths and English with at least a grade C / 4
Relevant level 3 qualification from college
Able to work well under pressure and as part of a team
Experience in an office environment
