This role is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring IT Helpdesk Support / IT Support Engineer / IT Technician, to learn new skills and progress within the IT field.
This role is a fantastic first step towards working in IT support with local schools. You will be part of a team where you will learn everything about IT support, Schools Broadbands and many more! A progression opportunity will be offered for the successful candidate upon completion of their apprenticeship. Training to be provided: Level 3 Level 3 Information Communication Technician:Support Technician.
About the role
Install and maintain computer hardware, laptops, audio/visual equipment and peripherals.
Routine administration including, data backups, Active Directory maintenance.
Software installation, maintenance and upgrading in line with rocket development policy.
Administration and development of Internet, Intranet, Extranet, and E-mail systems, including learning platforms and websites.
To keep abreast of technological developments and encourage the use of ICT at all levels.
To support staff and students with the set-up and preparation of ICT equipment around clients.

Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 15:30, Friday 08:00 - 14:30 (35 hours per week with 30 minutes for lunch)
Have good communication skills
Have a personable, friendly and polite nature
Have strong customer service skills
Have a basic understanding of Operating Sysyems and Office applications
Have a genuine interest in ICT
Be able to pass an enhanced DBS check
ICT qualifications are advantageous.
Desirable that you are able to self-manage your workload and work using own initiative.
Experience using Windows, GoogleClassroom and iPads is favoured
