This role is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring Helpdesk Support / 1st Line Support Engineer / IT Technician, to learn new skills and progress within the IT field.
This role is a fantastic first step towards working in IT support within a team of the largest providers in security sector on the south coast. You will be required to troubleshoot hardware and software problems to minimise the disruption to the customer and reduce the need for an engineer visit to site where possible. Where required you will also assist customers in installation and setup of software and mobile phone applications.
Answering inbound calls supporting customers with any issues they have with their systems
Set up of new and support of existing internal IT Infrastructure for colleagues such as Desktop PC’s and Laptops, Phones, Scanners
Testing and repair/replacement of faulty equipment including necessary software installation where required
Working with engineers when onsite to diagnose and rectify in a timely manner
Occasional site visits

Interest in the IT industry and willingness to learn and develop
Full driving license advantageous
Good attention to detail
2 GCSE's at grade C or above (or equivalents) to include Maths and English are essential.

Training and progression opportunity
There is opportunity for a full time role once the apprenticeship has been completed.
Training to be provided
Throughout the duration of the Apprenticeship you will be required to attend one of PETA training centres for off-the-job training. The majority of training will be completed with your employer at your place of work. You will be completing the Information Communication Technician – Support Technician apprenticeship.
