Do you have strong ICT and communication skills? Are you excited to undertake a range of routine admin support tasks? Then look no further than the Business Administration Apprentice role with Wightlink!

This is fantastic opportunity to provide administration support across a range of activities to the Engineering and Estates Department.  As an Apprentice, you will be developing a range of solid transferable skills acting as a platform for your future career. 

 

Duties

  • Maintaining accurate data using Microsoft and company specific software
  • Administration associated with engine and deck logbooks
  • Place callouts with contractors
  • Taking phone calls for colleagues and ensuring accurate information is passed on in a timely way
  • Compiling / checking information for reports
  • Setting up and maintaining appropriate filing systems
  • Archiving documentation
  • Assisting with department administration
  • Database entry

Qualifications required

Training to be provided

Training to be provided: Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard. You will complete a 15 month apprenticeship which includes 10 days at the PETA training centre in Cosham. You will be supported every 6 weeks with visits from your PETA Learning & Development Coach.
