PETA Ltd are looking for an Office Administrator Apprentice to join the friendly and growing team at BMS Southern Ltd.  If you are looking for a varied administrator role, look no further and apply today!

This is an excellent opportunity to join an engineering company with a proven track record of apprentice success. From general office administration to invoices and digital marketing, this role will be diverse. The Office Administrator Apprentice must be comfortable working in an engineering environment, although no prior engineering skills or knowledge are required.

Duties

  • Taking phone calls and messages
  • Filing paperwork
  • Purchase invoices
  • Working on the trade counter
  • Distributing quotes
  • Talking with customers
  • Supporting with digital marketing

Based in Emsworth, BMS Southern Ltd are a company supplier of construction fixings, fasteners and engineering services. They also operate across a combination of other sectors including builders steel, plumbing and heating. BMS Southern Ltd work with local councils and are soon to launch an exciting new eCommerce store.

Skills

  • Customer service experience
  • Good organisation skills
  • Experience using MS Office; must be PC literate
  • Comfortable speaking on the telephone
  • Polite and professional manner
Personal qualities
  • Engineering knowledge is desirable but not essential as full training on products will be given
Qualifications required
  • GCSEs in maths and English with at least a grade C / 4 are required.

Future prospects

There is the intention for a full time role to be offered to the successful and suitable applicant upon completion of the apprenticeship.

Training to be provided

Training to be provided: Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard. You will complete a 15 month apprenticeship which includes 10 days at the PETA training centre in Cosham. You will be supported every 6 weeks with visits from your PETA Learning & Development Coach.
