Apprenticeship summary:

PETA Ltd are looking for a Business Apprentice to join the team at TPG Maritime Limited.  If you are looking to gain a range of administration skills across various departments, this could be the role for you.

The Business Apprentice will actively support the business by providing a comprehensive, effective and professional administration service.

 

Duties

  • Greet visitors, arrange refreshments and ensure all security protocols are adhered to
  • Book employees travel and complete all associated paperwork and documentation checks in line with new requirements, maintaining accurate log to support
  • Support the Senior Leadership team in calendar management, booking meetings and conferences and ensure the rooms are set up ready for meetings and events
  • Create the monthly Management report with input from the Senior Leadership team.
  • Take meeting minutes as requested
  • Support the recruitment process and coordinate recruitment initiatives with the HR team
  • Coordinate the preparation of departmental monthly KPI’s and ensure all display boards are accurate and up to date
  • Contribute to cross functional project teams as required
  • Work on project work as directed by HR Manager

Please note that:

  • A DBS and security check will be required
  • Friday is a 4.5 hour day and on the last Friday of the month the business is closed
  • Average 37.5 hours a week (42 weeks at 38.5 hours, 12 weeks at 34 hours)

Qualifications required
  • 5 GCSEs including maths and English with at least a grade C / 4 are required

Future prospects

There is no guarantee of a permanent role at the end of the apprenticeship, however if there are any suitable roles across the TPGroup you will be able to apply and go through the selection process with some great training and experience behind you.

Training to be provided

Training to be provided: Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard. You will complete a 15 month apprenticeship which includes 10 days at the PETA training centre in Cosham. You will be supported every 6 weeks with visits from your PETA Learning & Development Coach.
