Apprenticeship summary:

We are looking for a trainee technician, whose job roles will include, repairing and maintaining PC and Apple machines, some opportunity to learn about networking (later in the training) and most importantly customer service.

Computer Solutions are a small IT company based in Winchester. They offer a range of technology support for homes and businesses including cost effective workshop repairs, remote support and callouts. Their services include hardware repairs to Mac and PC, advice on purchasing, tuition and setup of all kinds of technology including home or office systems, networking, cloud, software issues, phones, tablets and even small business servers, NAS or VPN.

Duties

We are a customer focused business, and we aim to train up young technicians not only to be excellent technicians, but to be excellent communicators, which in our sector is a rare and sought-after skill that is likely to help with future career prospects.

  • General computer repairs
  • Administrative duties including answering calls
  • Face-to-face customer service

Other Information:

  • There is no parking, but if you drive and have a car then the business will pay for a Parking Permit for you

Skills

  • Reasonable technical ability
  • Reasonable knowledge of computer hardware and software

Qualifications required:

  • A*-C / 9-4 GCSE's in Maths and English
  • Any other IT related qualifications

Training to be provided:

Throughout the duration of the Apprenticeship you will be required to attend one of PETA training centres for off-the- job training.  The majority of training will be completed with your employer at your place of work.

You will be completing Level 3 Unified Communication Apprenticeship along with the following qualifications:

  • Microsoft (MTA) Security Fundamentals
  • Network Fundamentals
  • Server Administration (BUT NO EXAMS WILL BE TAKEN)
  • Functional Skills in English and Maths (if required)
