Meet Apprentice Ben Sharley
Former student at Springfield School now an Electrical Technician Apprentice at Atmosphere Control International.
I decided that I wanted to do an Apprenticeship programme to get into a career in engineering. I wanted to go to college to do engineering but I also wanted to have experience in a working environment. The Apprenticeship programme allows me to do both of these at the same time.
I found my Apprenticeship with ACI through PETA. PETA supported me through each step of getting my Apprenticeship. PETA first informed me that the Apprenticeship was available. I was supported by PETA when writing my CV and a cover letter giving me helpful tips and advice. I was also supported by PETA when it came to interview skills so I knew how to act and prepare myself for my interview.
Working at ACI is great. I have met a lot of new people, learnt new skills, improved on existing skills and gained qualifications whilst working here.
One thing I like about my Apprenticeship is that I am being sent to college part time to do my HNC whilst working. Another thing I like about my Apprenticeship is that I am in a real working environment and all my skills that I have learnt are being used to create real products.« All News Articles
