CDM Regulations – everyone must be aware
After a guilty plea to breaching Regulations 27 and 29 of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, a construction company based in South Wales has been fined a total of £100,000 plus costs for running an unsafe timber-frame construction site.
With little fire protection in place, measures had not been taken to ensure a fire could be detected and the alarm raised quickly. There was also a lack of emergency planning and site management control was so poor that workers were at risk of being struck or crushed by construction vehicles working on site.
We invite you to join us on 28 October 2016 for a half day ‘CDM Site Safety Awareness’ course. This session will cover responsibilities of duty holders, planning the work, health and safety duties and managing contractors, as well as other vital information to ensure your compliance.
