Introducing Confined Space Training to Portsmouth
A new state-of-the-art Confined Space Training Unit has been installed in PETA’s Training Centre in Portsmouth and is available for bookings to deliver safe and accredited on-site training courses in Confined Space Entry and Awareness.
Purpose-Built, Two-Tier Training Unit
The unit was commissioned by PETA and is designed to replicate live working environments and potential scenarios that emerge when working in confined space situations. It includes internal working areas, emergency lighting, staircase and guard rails and a CAT/roof access ladder system.
- Keep yourself and your team safe by learning how to reduce risk and apply the correct hazard and risk control measures – including gas monitoring, fall arrest equipment and entry and breathing equipment training.
- Replicate live scenarios using the correct kit in our purpose-built training unit
- Understand and learn about the relevant legislation relating to confined spaces including Water UK confined space classifications

Confined Space Entry and Awareness
This course offers an ideal introduction to the foundation principles of working in confined spaces (theory and practical), for operators who are exposed to these situations or for those who are responsible for managing confined space working and require knowledge of the basic principles and legislation that applies.
Working in Medium Risk Confined Spaces – City & Guilds
This qualification is aimed at operatives and supervisors or any person exposed to working in confined spaces. Although primarily aimed at operatives, it offers the necessary foundation for all persons looking to progress their understanding of confined space entry and managing these working situations.
