Join our CPD Enrichment Masterclasses – exclusive, bitesize sessions designed for apprentices.
We’re excited to bring you this special edition masterclass. A rare opportunity to learn directly from guest speakers at KJ Smith Solicitors who will share their expertise in Family Law and Private Client Work.
This is your chance to:
- Broaden your knowledge beyond your day-to-day role

In just 90 minutes, you’ll gain an engaging insight into:
- Introduction to KJS and Family Law - what we do and how we help people
- Routes into law – hear personal journeys, highs & lows, and why our speakers chose this career. As you listen, consider your own career journey and think about how their experiences might offer guidance, insight, or reassurance when facing challenges, stress, or learning opportunities.
- Practical skills needed – from work/life balance & study tips to transferable skills, sales skills, and commercial awareness
- Real-life case examples in family and private client law
- Marketing in a law firm - what it takes behind the scenes
- Family Law misconceptions - from “common law marriage” to nuptial agreements (interactive activity!)
- The client journey - from first meeting to resolution

- How KJS supports the community - from legal workshops in schools and universities, to charity projects, and mentoring with MCR Pathways
Joining these masterclasses are important as they are created bespoke for our apprentices only, designed to offer bite-size sessions tailored to suit you! Each one is designed to support you with a wide range of themes - from industry insights, personal development, and practical skills that can help alongside your work, such as branding, marketing, and life skills.
While this particular session may not directly link to your apprenticeship, it’s still a valuable opportunity to broaden your perspective, explore something new, and even pick up one or two takeaways to help you in your own journey. They also strengthen your CPD log, extra-curricular activities and may contribute to your OTJ tracker (please check directly with your L&D coach).
