Enrichment CPD Masterclass: Creative Problem Solving

  PETA Access Point, Cosham

 25th Feb 2026

  09:00 - 10:30

Event summary: PETA Apprentices, don't miss our next Masterclass. A perfect opportunity to gain extra skills and insights to support your apprenticeship journey.

Our Masterclasses are exclusive opportunities designed to provide bitesize learning on targeted subject areas that support you throughout your apprenticeship journey. Each session focuses on practical skills and knowledge that complement your programme and help you grow both personally and professionally.

In previous years, we’ve covered a wide range of topics including LinkedIn skills, Personal Resilience, Assertiveness, Time Management, Brand and more. These sessions are a great way to enhance your CPD log, build extra‑curricular activities, and in some cases contribute to your Off‑the‑Job (OTJ) learning. Please check with your L&D Coach if you’re unsure whether a session can be added to your OTJ tracker.

We encourage all apprentices to make the most of these opportunities as part of their ongoing development.

We are excited to bring you the next session in our popular Masterclass series, an opportunity to explore Creative Problem Solving.

In the creative problem solving Enrichment Session, we explore how left and right‑brain thinking contribute to both divergent and convergent approaches. We will dip into how analytical and imaginative thinking complement each other when generating and refining ideas. Before walking through the Osborne‑Parnes Creative Problem Solving (CPS) model, applying its stages to demonstrate how structured creativity can lead to more effective solutions.

The session will be delivered by Emma Quance, one of our experienced trainers who leads much of our Functional Skills and Business Administration training. Emma is well-known for her engaging, approachable style and for creating fun, impactful learning experiences - this is one you don’t want to miss!
