Course overview

Apprenticeship units are short, flexible training programmes designed to help employers quickly upskill their workforce in critical skill areas.

This level 5 leadership unit will help learners to build a clear, evidence-based approach to AI adoption. This strategic leadership training has been designed for organisations at the beginning of their AI journey.

Over the course of 6 training sessions, leaders will be equipped with the knowledge and tools to identify where AI can add value, assess risks, and develop a robust organisational strategy. It focuses on understanding AI capabilities, evaluating opportunities, and making informed investment decisions that align with business goals.

By the end of this unit, learners will be able to:

  • Evaluate AI opportunities using data-driven analysis
  • Define and communicate an AI strategy aligned to organisational goals
  • Assess feasibility, risk, and organisational readiness
  • Engage stakeholders to build support for AI initiatives
  • Monitor emerging trends to inform future strategy

Please note

To be eligible, learners must be aged 19 or over and employed full-time. Individuals who are currently enrolled on an apprenticeship programme are not eligible to undertake standalone Apprenticeship Units.

This training is funded either through the Apprenticeship Levy or, for eligible non-levy paying employers, may be available at no cost.
