Course overview
This qualification is ideal for new or aspiring middle managers who wish to develop their leadership and management capability to enhance performance and prepare for more senior responsibilities.
Through a combination of tutor-led, peer-supported learning and practical work-based assignments, participants will explore how management style, effective communication, team dynamics, and structured reporting contribute to organisational success. Learners will develop greater self-awareness, refine their management approach, and build the confidence to lead people and projects with clarity and purpose.
The Certificate comprises three modules:
Module 1: Management Report Writing (Unit 4005V1) Develop the ability to collect, analyse, and present information effectively. Learn to produce structured management reports that inform decision-making and provide actionable recommendations.
Module 2: Understanding Team Dynamics (Unit 4004V1) Examine how teams form, develop, and perform. Learn how to build cohesive teams, manage group norms, and lead both co-located and remote teams to achieve shared objectives.
Module 3: Managerial Styles and Behaviours (Unit 4001V1) Explore how attitudes, assumptions, and behaviours impact management effectiveness. Develop an understanding of different managerial styles and how to adapt them to meet organisational needs and motivate others effectively.
