Qualsafe Level 2 Award in Understanding Mental Health in the Workplace (RQF)

Course overview

This qualification is designed for anyone aged 16 or over who wants to build a solid understanding of mental health, increase their awareness, and play an active role in supporting colleagues in the workplace. It provides a practical introduction to the importance of positive mental health and wellbeing, helping learners recognise early signs of common mental health conditions and understand how to offer appropriate support through listening, reassurance, and effective signposting to professional services.

Participants will explore their responsibilities within the workplace, including relevant legislation, and gain clarity on the roles involved in mental health support. The course also introduces the Mental Health First Aid at Work Action Plan, enabling learners to respond confidently and appropriately when colleagues may be struggling.

This Qualsafe qualification is valid for three years and equips individuals with essential awareness skills that contribute to a safer, more supportive, and more inclusive working environment.

This is a Certificated course (Qualsafe). This qualification is valid for a period of 3 years. The learner needs to retake the qualification before the certificate expiry date to remain qualified.
