Understanding ADHD: Training for Managers and HR Professionals
PET002550
Course overview
ADHD is one of the most common yet misunderstood neurodivergent conditions, affecting around 5% of adults in the UK. This one-day, evidence-based course goes beyond awareness to help managers and HR professionals understand how ADHD shows up at work, and what truly supports employees to thrive.
You’ll gain a clear understanding of ADHD neurobiology, including how attention, time management, and executive function affect workplace performance. Through practical frameworks, case studies, and guided discussions, you’ll learn to recognise strengths such as hyperfocus, creativity, and adaptability, while addressing challenges like time blindness, emotional regulation, and task initiation.
The course equips you with tools to create inclusive structures, regular check-ins, tailored communication, and practical accommodations that improve focus, consistency, and engagement. You’ll also explore how to build psychological safety for disclosure, reduce stigma, and respond confidently when employees open up about their needs.
By the end of the session, you’ll leave with practical templates, conversation guides, and an action plan to support ADHD inclusion in your own teams. This course helps organisations improve performance, retention, and wellbeing, turning awareness into confident, inclusive leadership that unlocks the full potential of neurodivergent talent.
