You will be rotated around the manufacturing and engineering areas of the business learning about all aspects of SES’s activities. This will provide the product and business knowledge that will enable you to prepare detailed technical specifications and estimates that meet customer briefs. You will be an apprentice in the technical sales team.

SES have trained and developed technical apprentices that now hold key positions within business. Duties will include:

  • Gain a good understanding of SES’s manufacturing and engineering activities
  • Work collaboratively with all of the teams on site to achieve goals
  • Interpret inbound information provided by customers and the sales team
  • Provide specifications and by applying the knowledge you will gain to provide the most effective and best performing solutions
  • Generate compliant estimates using the information provided that are a best fit for each customers application and requirements
  • Liaise effectively with customers and internal stakeholders ensuring that information about projects are correct and provided in a timely manner.
  • Be responsible, demonstrate resilience whilst applying a disciplined  approach working diligently at all times
  • Use technical/product knowledge discuss a range of possible solutions with the client

Skills required:

  • You will enjoy communicating with others and working collaboratively
  • You will possess a good logical approach to problem solving
  • Be objective when making decisions
  • Have an awareness of H&S issues regarding working
  • The ability to understand and act on technical information is desirable
  • Customer facing skills will be beneficial
