At IAC Acoustics, we would be looking for the right candidate to develop into a key member of the company’s future eventually working in Project Management, Design, Acoustic Engineering, Aviation projects or Sales.

Duties will include:

Initially time will be spent in the Drawing Office preparing drawings for customer proposals and manufacturing, gaining an understanding of the Company’s products and services.

Once a good understanding of the products and acoustic solutions is achieved, periods of time will be spent with;

  • Project Management – assisting the team with management of a range of products from design, manufacture, delivery, installation and commissioning, working to set budgets.   Liaison with customers over programmes.
  • Engineering – to gain an understanding of acoustic evaluation/design, mechanical and structural engineering.
  • Aviation – working with the aviation engineers, assisting with evaluation, preparation of proposals, design, and installation of airport products around the world.
  • Sales – assisting with customer enquiries, evaluation of projects, preparation of tenders/costing procedures, client follow up, order processing.
  • Finance – gaining an understanding of financial procedures.
  • Attend PETA/College completing coursework on time and to the required standard.

Skills required:

  • You will need to be enthusiastic, focused, have a can do attitude.
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to look forward and anticipate potential issues.
  • Have the confidence to communicate with customers at all levels.
  • Strong team work ethic coupled with the ability to work independently.

Personal qualities:

  • You will have the ability to work in a small team whilst retaining your own initiative.
  • Drive and determination to go further, as professional and academic development will be expected.

Qualifications required:

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent to include Maths, English, Science at Grade B (5) or above.
  • BTEC level 3 or other relevant engineering qualification desirable.
  • Any relevant FE qualifications will be looked upon favourably.
