Learning to work on a range of Injection & Blow Moulding equipment. You will learn how to conduct preventative & breakdown electromechanical maintenance on hydraulic & injection assemblies, controls & automated handling equipment. Team working will be key

Duties will include:

  • Nolato Jaycare’s Portsmouth manufacturing facility has a wide range of Injection, Blow Moulding and product transfer plant on site. This equipment needs
  • Undertake regular preventative maintenance schedules
  • Conduct visual inspections, filter and oil changes as well a leak identification and rectification.
  • Following training you will work with highly skilled engineers conducting breakdown maintenance
  • Learn to undertake fault diagnosis completing repairs and ordering replacement parts as required.
  • You will also assist contractors in the installation of new equipment
  • You will handover production machinery work for inspection and testing by Equipment Manufacturer nominated specialists

Skills required:

  • A good logical approach to problem solving
  • An awareness of H&S issues regarding working in a dynamic work environment
  • A good level of dexterity and skills using hand tools is desirable
  • Foundation knowledge of maintenance is preferred
  • An interest in manufacturing and working as an integral part of a team is important

Personal qualities:

  • You will need an awareness of and be able to follow Health & Safety and Hygiene regulations
  • You will have a good attention to detail and the ability to plan activities identifying possible problems in advance
  • You will need to be focused, self-motivated, trustworthy with a team player mentality
  • This is a robust working environment that will require discipline and a willingness to help your team achieve department goals

Qualifications required:

  • GCSE Grade C or above in Math’s
  • GCSE Grade C or above in English
  • At least one other GCSE (science would be preferred)
  • Any engineering qualification will be looked upon favourably
