To support the purchasing process through administration and data management.
We are looking for an Apprentice to complement our existing team. The Apprentice will receive full training, and will work closely with and be mentored on a 1-2-1 basis to ensure complete and clear understanding of the job role.

Duties will include:

  • Ensure competent quality execution of all regular purchasing duties and administrative works.
  • Purchase and issue order in accordance to specification.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Coordinate with Production to ensure material availability.
  • Maintain complete updated purchasing records/data and pricing in the system.
  • Assist in managing and following up overseas orders.
  • Support relevant departments with quotations for the purpose of tenders.
  • Co-ordinate with Suppliers to ensure on time delivery.
  • Monitor and co-ordinate deliveries of items between suppliers to ensure that all items are delivered to site/store on time.
  • Responsible for the preparation and process purchase orders and documents in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Filing
  • Data recording and management
  • To ensure file and system records are kept fully up to date within agreed timescales and to the agreed company standard
  • Communication (Verbal) To maintain a professional telephone manner at all times when dealing with customers, colleagues and line managers
  • To ensure you maintain and contribute as a team member to enable the smooth running of the department and company

Other information:

  • Adhere to Health and Safety requirements and regulations
  • Adhere to the Company Information and Protection Policy (IPP)
  • Comply with statutory requirements and regulations and Company requirements
  • Carry out any other reasonable request within current competence level
  • Cross train on various products to allow the flexing of resource throughout the business
  • Business Administration Level 3 Standard
