This is a fantastic opportunity to enter into a challenging administration role in a fast growing auto electrical parts and service company. You will join a busy, friendly team and be supported throughout the apprenticeship.

Hunters Auto Electrical Engineering have been providing engineering support to the Bus, Coach, HGV & Plant industry since 2005. Our field service engineers carry out diagnostics and repairs 24/7.

Hunters Auto Electrical Engineers are based in Eastleigh, Southampton and cover the south of the UK, for operators with just a few vehicles to the multi nationals. Our engineers are fully skilled and we are approved contractors with the major bus groups. Hunters are also warranty support agents for a number of OE companies.

Our on going investment in diagnostic equipment and training has retained customer loyalty and faith in our ability to diagnose and rectify electrical and electronic faults first time.

Duties will include:

  • Keeping the offices, Shop and Workshop clean and tidy at all times.
  • To learn how to confidently use company systems and programmes
  • Answering Telephone to customers, suppliers & employees in a polite manner.
  • Meeting and greeting customers at the shop front and maintaining a high level of professionalism in line with the authorised policies and procedures.
  • To maintain manual and computerised systems including inputting data, keeping records, statistics, confidential and general filing systems as directed.
  • Carry out tasks including photocopying, sending faxes, filing, laminating, use of the franking machine, and binding machine.
  • Packing and labelling products and stock-taking
  • Unpacking and allocating supplier orders correctly
  • Complete purchase orders for Suppliers
  • Contacting suppliers in a polite manner for items on backorder
  • Communicating with engineers to supply WIP (work in progress) Numbers
  • Completed ERT (Engineers Report Template) Sheet ready for the Engineers
  • Updating company social media accounts regularly
  • Supporting any new tasks as they arise within the company

Other information:

  • Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner standard

Skills required:

  • Competent ICT User including excel
  • Organised Approach and be able to meet agreed timescales
  • Literate and numerate

Personal qualities:

  • Confident and cheerful
  • Consistent pride in your personal and shared work areas
  • Willing to take on any given task
  • Respectful approach

Qualifications required:

  • GCSE Grade C/4 and above in English and Maths desired but not essential
