We are looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join our team based in Cosham. Experience is not essential for the role but basic IT skills will be necessary, although training will be given. We have taken on people via the apprenticeship scheme previously and are looking to grow our team again.

Transparent Communications is a leading UK supplier of IT, AV and networking hardware, providing products from leading brands including Draytek, Drobo, Netgear, Epson, Casio, Samsung, Smart and Acer. The company was founded in 2002 as a family business based in South Wales and specialised largely in a range of communications equipment including phones and bluetooth headsets.

Duties will include:

Main responsibilities   

  • Answering phones and fielding customer / supplier queries
  • Working through the dispatch process to ensure the timely release of orders to customer
  • Loading of invoices into Sage (training given) and raising of customer invoices off of the e-commerce system
  • Providing support to the team by chasing prices, helping on quotes when busy
  • Provide some first level of customer support via phone and e-mail
  • Take steps to resolve customer queries and complaints by speaking to management team and/or contacting couriers and suppliers.
  • Deal with complaint emails and phone calls.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors and the general public.
  • Maintain a consistent and professional attitude.
  • Take on additional duties when required.
  • Adhere to stated policies and procedures regarding health and safety in the workplace
  • Adhere to procedures regarding the proper use and care of equipment and materials associated with the role

Other information:

During the first 14 months you will complete:

  • Customer Practitioner Apprenticeship Standard Level 2
