Duties will include:

You will be joining the Medatech support team in a role which will expand your knowledge of ERP, with many opportunities to move into project management, development and implementation. You will be responsible for dealing with Priority software support issues raised by Medatech customers, as well as maintaining customer relationships and working on internal support and training tasks.

The support calls are not just IT queries, they will require you to understand the customers’ business processes and can cover many different subjects such as; CRM, order processing, inventory, production, scanning, accounts, purchasing, MRP.

  • During your apprenticeship (15 months) you will work towards achieving:
    • Customer Service Specialist Advanced Apprenticeship Standard, Level 3

Skills required:

  • Independent working
  • Ability to prioritise your work
  • Good communication skills (email, phone, face to face)
  • Independent learning

The following are not essential but if you have experience in any of the areas outlined below, it will put you at an advantage:

  • Familiarity with information systems/ERP/CRM/Finance (e.g  SAP, Sage, Oracle, Infor, Dynamics, Great Plains, Epicor, Oracle (JDE, JD Edwards,) Exact, Netsuite, Priority)
  • Experience working on a helpdesk
  • Hardware/Networking experience
  • Programming/Web development in any language
  • Any SQL ability
  • Familiarity with accounting practices
  • Understanding of business processes.

  • Logical – must be able to troubleshoot problems
  • Ownership of issues
  • Organised
  • Personable
  • Able to manage multiple tasks at once
  • Able to work under pressure

Qualifications required:

  • GCSE (or equivalent) grade A*-C (4-9) in Maths and English is essential for this role
  • Project Management qualifications (desirable but not essential)


  • 20 days paid holiday and 8 statutory days holiday

Future Prospects:

  • There are good prospects for progression within the company. Medatech have an excellent record for training and retaining staff who move into other job roles and undertake further training.
