A Business Administration Apprenticeship opportunity has arisen within Dyer & Butler. This role sits within the main administration and Reception team. The successful candidate will learn how the various departments are run and also develop skills from experienced staff within the organisation.

For over 35 years, Dyer & Butler has built a reputation for the successful provision of civil engineering and construction services to a number of safety critical sectors. Their geographical coverage, approach and diverse range of skills means they can provide solutions for ongoing team projects such as framework agreements as well as on a standalone basis.

Dyer and Butler 

Duties will include:

  • Meet and greet all clients & visitors to the office; offering and providingrefreshments when necessary.
  • Inform the relevant person(s) of the clients/visitor’s arrival.
  • Retrieve answer phone messages and relay any messages immediately,providing all necessary information.
  • Answer the telephone in a timely and professional manner, passing messages on to the relevant person providing all necessary information.
  • Answer any telephone queries professionally and efficiently.
  • Make telephone calls to clients/ other staff member when required.
  • Collect the post from the Post Office each morning.
  • Process all incoming post, faxes & emails and administer appropriately in a timely manner.
  • Provide full administration support when required.
  • Ensure stationery and client packs are fully stocked.
  • Ensure that all company policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Other ad hoc duties including but not limited to scanning, filing, purchasing office supplies.

  • Use initiative and take responsibility
  • Able to maintain a professional manner at all times
  • Have excellent attention to detail and thoroughness
  • Be able to prioritise duties
