Working within the Commercial Team, the successful apprentice will be providing administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the department. This role will be very involved and there will be the opportunity to lean a whole range of skills which will help with future prospects. For the right person, on achievement of the Business Administrator Level 3 Standard, there could be progression to another Apprenticeship specifically related to the department.

Duties will include:

  • Work on projects to support the Customer Support Representatives (CSR) and CSR Manager.
  • Work on various KPIs, to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and working practice
  • Monitor Spare Parts, Y4, Customer Invoices and Core returns on a daily basis
  • Perform some CSR activities such as ordering spares and raising quotations.
  • Write and update methods for the team
  • Provide KPIs to management
  • Projects and administrative duties to support the CSR manager and commercial team when required.
  • Raise Purchase Requisitions for the front office team.
  • Training on products to have an understanding of all areas of the CSR team

Other information:

  • Safran Helicopter Engines is based on an Industrial Estate in Segensworth so it would be worth investigating travel options to ensure that you are able to arrive on time and also get home.
  • The duration of the Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship will be up to 15 months. PETA Ltd. will be the provider of training and support alongside the employer and will require excellent attendance at any off job training required. Typically 1 day per month for this standard.
  • For all apprenticeships there is a requirement for 20% off job training which this employer is aware of and will accommodate. The Apprenticeship assessor will be advising on what can contribute throughout the duration of this Apprenticeship.
  • The Apprenticeship standards are made up of skills and knowledge sections as well as behavioral parts.
  • At the end of this Apprenticeship an End Point Assessment will take place and will be based on what you have learned over the past 15 months. There are options for PASS, MERIT and DISTINCTION awards

  • Have excellent working knowledge of IT packages, such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Qualifications required:

  • GCSE 4/5 (Grade C) or above in both English and Maths or Functional Skills Level 2
  • Desirable: IT related qualification or training
