As an Apprentice Office Administrator for Tekkers IT Solutions, you will be working closely with the Managing Director and assisting with day-to-day operations for the business. Managing schedules, sending and chasing invoices, ordering office supplies, answering phones and generally learning all of the administrative tasks for the business.

Tekkers IT, provide IT services and support to Hampshire and the surrounding areas. Established in 2011, we’ve worked with some fantastic customers who have helped us grow the business into one of the region’s best solutions and service providers.

Duties will include:

Tekkers IT Solutions offer a competitive salary as well as taking pride for a fun, friendly and creative working environment. As part of keeping our staff equally as happy as our customers, we very rarely travel outside of the Hampshire / West Sussex area to ensure a healthy work / life balance.

  • Work as part of a team to provide support for internal and customer queries
  • Deal with day-to-day jobs of sending invoices, chasing payments, issuing any credit notes and reconciling payments in our accounting software
  • Ensure any invoicing queries are dealt with and customers are responded to in a timely manner
  • Assisting directors with managing email inboxes, calls, appointments and travel arrangements
  • Welcome visitors, set up meeting rooms and arrange refreshments
  • Responsible for ensuring drinks, refreshments, toiletry and any other office items are kept fully stocked
  • Opening post and posting any items which need posting

Other information:

  • Full driving license desirable but not essential.
  • For first year you will complete Level 3 Business Administrator Standard Apprenticeship
  • End Point Assessment
  • Functional Skills in English and/or Math’s if required

Skills required:

  • Excellent organizational and customer care skills
  • Excellent social and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Be able to demonstrate your ability to work as part of a team, but also work on your own to deal with day to day tasks and help push the company forward
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel are essential

Personal qualities:

  • Friendly and approachable attitude when dealing with customers both on the phone and in person
  • Positive attitude
  • Wiling to learn
  • Reliable and dependable

Qualifications required:

  • GCSE Math’s Grades A* - C or 9 - 4
  • GCSE English Grades A* - C or 9-4
  • GCSE in Business or similar
