The Apprentice will receive full training

Medway Mechanical Services offer a complete Mechanical building services package from design to commissioning. The company will coordinate every aspect of a building services contract and constantly strives to maintain its leading position within the building services industry.

Duties will include:

Working alongside the Office Manager supporting the team and customer’s requirements at all times, this position would suit a young school or college leaver with a bright, bubbly personality who could engage with existing and new customers.

  • Ensure competent quality execution of all regular administrative works.
  • Responsible for the preparation and process of all documents in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Filing
  • Data recording and management
  • To ensure file and system records are kept fully up to date within agreed timescales and to the agreed company standard
  • Communication (Verbal) To maintain a professional telephone manner at all times when dealing with customers, colleagues and line managers
  • To ensure you maintain and contribute as a team member to enable the smooth running of the department and company
  • Booking appointments

Other information:

  • This position would suit an individual who has a keen interest in business administration
  • Full on the job training will be given with the opportunity for further academic/external training for the suitable candidate.
  • A professional environment with a “family” feel about it
  • A car driver would be beneficial due to the location although the public transport links are very good for the area

Skills required:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office an advantage
  • Must have excellent Excel skills and the ability to work with formulas
  • Must have excellent IT skills and the confidence to take on and use new systems
  • Very high attention to detail
  • Keyboard skills
  • Able to communicate effectively
  • Able to follow and carry out simple instructions
  • Able to interact well with people and work as part of a team
  • Able to work under pressure and to agreed time scales

Qualifications required:

  • GCSE's at grade C/4 or above (or equivalents) including Math’s and English and ITC are preferable but not essential
