As an Apprentice Customer Account Manager for Tekkers IT Solutions, you will be supporting the Customer Account Management team and the Engineering Team in providing recommendations, quotes as well as managing and developing the relationship with our customers overall.

Tekkers IT provides IT services and support to businesses in Hampshire and the surrounding areas. Established in 2011, we’ve worked with some fantastic customers who have helped us grow the business into one of the region’s best solutions and service providers.

Duties will include:

Tekkers IT Solutions offer a competitive salary as well as working for a fun, friendly and creative working environment. As part of keeping our staff equally as happy as our customers, we very rarely travel outside of the Hampshire / West Sussex area to ensure a healthy work / life balance.

  • Work as part of a team to provide account management support for customers.
  • Create basic technical proposals and quotations to address customer business requirements and objectives.
  • Complete day to day quotes to a high standard and support the Customer Account Manager
  • Maintain good relationships with all supplier account managers to ensure that in turn we can deliver to customer expectations consistently.
  • Process orders amongst suppliers ensuring best value for money on each sale
  • Follow up quotes that have been sent to clients by way of calling and building relationship with client
  • Answer telephone in a professional manner and support with answering questions that the client has

Other information:

  • During first year you will complete Level 3 Business Administrator Standard Apprenticeship, including End Point Assessment
  • Functional Skills in English and/or Maths if required

Skills required:

  • Interest in IT and products used to build a computer and/or server
  • Excellent organisational and customer care skills
  • Excellent writing skills; most of the work will be written and customer facing (emails, documentation)
  • Be able to demonstrate your ability to work as part of a team, but also work on your own to create proposals and win business
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel are essential

Qualifications required:

  • GCSE Maths Grades A* - C or 9 - 4
  • GCSE English Grades A* - C or 9-4 
  • GCSE in either IT or a Level 3 Diploma in IT

  • Once the apprenticeship has been completed then the apprentice will be promoted to Account Manager and then they would mentor a new apprentice to undertake their role
