Excellent office-based career opportunity within the construction industry. Our fire door setting out apprentice will learn how to transfer sales orders into live production jobs via our setting out system. This information is then used to manufacture fire doors for large construction projects.   You will be part of a young, fast-paced sales & production team who take great pride in the high quality of their work and excellent reputation of our fire doors.

Duties will include:

You will assist our sales and setting out team and learn all aspects of the sales, setting out and manufacturing processes:

  • Formulate production jobs and drawings using both auto-cad and our in-house production system
  • Learn technical knowledge of fire door, ironmongery and construction components
  • Learn how to place purchase order for materials required
  • Support the setting out/purchasing team with general administration duties.

Other information

  • The company uses autocad and MS Excel templates, which require accurate data input and an acute attention to detail, so possessing good MS Office knowledge is essential.
  • The Apprentice will learn all about the construction industry and all aspects of project management from order through to manufacture.

  • GCSE grade A – C / 4 - 9 in Maths and English (or equivalent)
