An opportunity has arisen at one of the South's leading Wealth Management companies; Compass Wealth are part of the Harwoods Wealth Management Group and based in Eastleigh, Southampton. This Apprenticeship will give you the foundations you need to start a career within the financial sector.

Harwood Wealth Management Group is a leading financial planning and discretionary wealth management firm.

This office role is based in Southampton and you will join a team of financial advisers who provide financial planning, wealth management advice to retail investment clients, as well as to a number of other companies.

Duties will include:

  • To provide operational and administrative support.
  • Answer the telephone in a timely and professional manner, passing messages on to the relevant person providing all necessary information.
  • Answer any telephone queries professionally and efficiently.
  • Process and send Letters of Authority to providers and chase through to completion.
  • Update client portfolios and generate valuations for client meetings, always ensuring that the correct procedure is carried out.
  • Update client Portfolios and Policy information on TP accurately.
  • Ensure policy documents and any other relevant documentation is sent to clients and/or providers within the agreed timeframe.
  • Provide additional support to other departments and satellite offices when required.
  • Ensure that all company policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Collect the post from reception.
  • Process all incoming post & emails and administer appropriately in a timely manner.
  • Frank the outgoing post and take it to reception in the evening where required.
  • Other ad hoc duties including but not limited to scanning, filing and TP updates.

The successful applicant will be enthusiastic to learn and participate in the development of existing practices and procedures. He/she will possess the ability to communicate / interact confidently with representatives from both the internal and external environment.

Other information:

  • During the 15- month Apprenticeship programme you will complete a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship Standard

Skills required:

  • Basic knowledge of proprietary computer packages, with particular emphasis on MS Word and Excel.
  • Customer care skills.
  • Organisational skills.
  • Able to communicate clearly.
  • Detail focused and comfortable working in a large office environment.
  • Good timekeeping and the ability to work to deadlines.

Qualifications required:

  • Maths and English GCSE Grade 4/C or above
