PETA excels at The News and Observer Series Apprenticeship Awards

Article summary: We were thrilled to take home 3 awards at the inaugural News and Observer Series Apprenticeship Awards at the evening ceremony celebrating all things apprenticeships.

On November 9th, The News and Observer Series hosted its first ever Apprentice Awards, to recognise excellence in apprenticeships across the region.

We were really proud to support the event and proudly took home three awards, including "Training Provider of the Year," showcasing our dedication and commitment to provide the highest quality of corporate training and apprenticeships across the south.

Our apprentices also claimed two individual honours, with Amy Fisher winning "Engineering Apprentice of the Year" and Alan Gwilliam winning the "Higher Apprentice of the Year" award.
Amy said: “It feels crazy, I wasn’t expecting it, it’s just been a really good evening with all the apprentices. It’s great for apprentices to be celebrated in this way and it feels really good to be recognised for what I’m doing. Thank you to my employer and my manager Olly for supporting me, and to PETA for supporting me in my growth and development in my engineering career.”

Additionally, we sponsored the "Degree Apprentice of the Year" category, to support our belief in the future development of apprentices, highlighting a path for all of our apprentices to aspire to. Our CEO, Fiona Stilwell, presented the award to category winner Emma Morris.

We were also pleased to see valued employers Silver Lining Convergence, Zinq IT, Southbourne Rubber Ltd and Motor Marketing Ltd recognised at the event for their commitment to training and developing the next generation of apprentices.

Thank you to The News and Observer Series for organizing this event and creating a platform to recognize apprentices' contributions. These awards motivate us to continue nurturing talent and providing opportunities for aspiring professionals.
