Duties will include:

This role will require you to assist the IT Manager with maintaining and monitoring the recently updated automated packing and storage systems within the company Packhouse. The company relies on computer systems in all areas of its operations and decision-making processes, it is therefore crucial to ensure the correct running and understanding of the systems within this role. This will then ensure a smooth running of the computer systems in order to get maximum benefits for Tangmere and its customers.

This is a very varied role and will allow you to work directly with a wide range of individuals at all levels so this can make the job diverse and interesting. There will also be a need to be flexible and adaptable to accommodate the requirements of the company's customer support.

  • Utilise your knowledge of our automated systems, which will grow with experience and in-house on the job training
  • Troubleshooting any IT issues on site with staff
  • Time & Attendance system and self-service system support
  • Device/Equipment setup and maintenance throughout the site
  • Management of maintenance contracts
  • Liaising with suppliers regarding new equipment and repairs
  • Setup and configuration of grading/sizing software
  • ERP procurement backbone will assist with management of all sides of the inbound supply chain
  • Maintain and create systems documentation and user guides as required
  • Monitor, report on and correct product stock levels and errors within the automated system

Other information:

  • The company is located at a remote industrial estate with minimal public transport.
  • This role may require you to work extra hours covering the IT Manager when on annual leave as well as occasional out of hours work.
  • A full driving licence for this position would be desirable.

Skills required:

  • To be comfortable communicating across all levels and departments within the business and externally
  • Good understanding of MS Office applications
  • Good understanding of network functions, system logics and information systems.

Qualifications required:

  • Age 16 and over with 4 GCSE’s at grade D/3 or higher including Maths and English.
