More Than Safety are seeking an adaptable and conscientious Apprentice Design & IT Assistant to join their creative team. Based at Hedge End, the suitable applicant will complete a variety of creative and IT tasks including printing, preparing artwork and data management.

Duties will include:

As an Apprentice Design & IT Assistant, you will complete a variety of interesting IT based creative tasks providing support to the Design and Production Teams.

  • Preparing artwork for print and production
  • Arranging embroidery samples and liaising with the Digitiser
  • Producing documents for approval
  • Editing images
  • Management and upload of data
  • Undertaking printing jobs
  • Involvement of production duties

Skills required:

  • Basic knowledge of Adobe software
  • Microsoft Excel skills
  • The ability to work well in a team
  • An eye for detail

Personal qualities:

  • Positive and creative
  • Flexible and adaptable nature as the role will be varied
  • Willing to learn, with a ‘get stuck in’ attitude
  • Thorough, organised and efficient approach towards work

Qualifications required:

  • A*-C / 9-4 in GCSE Maths and English desirable


  • Gain expertise in Adobe software, particularly Illustrator and InDesign
  • Acquire experience using various Printers & Cutters
  • Opportunity to learn varied creative skills
  • 20 days holiday plus bank holidays (3 days to be used for Christmas shutdown)
  • On-site parking available

Future Prospects:

  • Potential full-time employment / promotion to other roles / continued training following apprenticeship
