An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 2nd / 3rd line ICT Support Engineer to join Curatrix Managed Security. Curatrix Managed Security provide a number of technology driven Managed ICT Services to customers covering Backup, Disaster Recovery, Desktop and Server Support, Cloud Application Support, ICT Security Management, Telephony, Network and Intranet Services.

Duties will include:

  • Design simple networks and apply appropriate security products and processes
  • Install and configure network components
  • Optimise the performance of network systems and services
  • Monitor, test and adjust network systems and performance to meet accepted standards
  • Use diagnostic tools to diagnose network performance issues
  • Undertake system upgrades to hardware, software and operating systems
  • Interpret written requirements and technical specifications
  • Log and respond to network service calls and provide technical support to end user
  • Document work done in accordance with agreed procedures
  • Perform 2nd/3rd line fixes

Skills required:

  • Experience in ICT Support Helpdesk or similar 1st Line ICT role
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and must be comfortable to talk to existing and potential customers where required
  • Knowledge of Windows Desktop and Microsoft Office packages
  • Deliver a strong customer focused experience as well as technical support

Personal qualities:

  • Must be self-motivated, organised and capable of managing own time fully
  • Highly presentable when working on customer sites
  • Creating and following existing documentation to ensure that projects are completed successfully
  • Ability to drive and have access to own vehicle to travel to customer sites

Qualifications required:

  • Completed L3 Infrastructure Standard Apprenticeship or completed L3 IT qualification but have minimum of 18 months experience working in an IT environment
  • GCSE Maths and English Grades A – C / 9-4 or Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths and English
  • Driver’s license
