What led you to work at PETA?

At school I was always good at maths and went into the finance sector before having a family. Later on, I went on to become a mature student and obtain a BA degree in Geography/History and then finally completing my AAT qualification.  Since then I have gained experience from a variety of backgrounds within the accounting environment.

What is your role at PETA and what drives you to do what you do?

My role within the finance department is varied and covers most aspect of accounting.  I also have an understanding, of the financial implication of apprenticeship to the company.

What knowledge and experience do you draw upon for your role?

Having worked for PETA for 10 years I can use this and previous accounting roles to draw upon.

How do you approach your role on a day-to-day basis? What skills are required?
  • Methodical doing my job.
  • Making sure it is accurately done.
  • The ability to be flexible in the day to day business of the company.
What are you passionate about outside of work?

My faith is important along with my family. I also enjoy walking, reading and doing crafts as well as making cakes.

What are your personal values, and what is important to you?

Always having a willingness to help others and treat others as I would like to be treated.
