What led you to work for PETA?

I am someone who has always worked from a young age, who had it all planned out, I then took a detour from this plan and decided to take a break from working and go travelling, once I returned I ended up quickly finding a job and never planned to stay for long! It was working for a company that booked construction workers for courses and tests, fast forward to 3 and half years later, I found a passion for Health and Safety and loved what we did and the varied individuals that we worked with. I knew it was time for a new challenge, and I applied for the role at PETA – and as an administrator the perfect way to fully start developing my knowledge on a more in-depth level and I am loving it!

What is your role at PETA and what drives you to do what you do?

My role here at PETA is take our delegates through their course journey behind the scenes, from the moment they enquire about the course to the day their certificate is issued. I also work closely with our Trainers to ensure their courses are ready to go. My drive, my motivation is simply I love being part of a team, and being there to assist our delegates and Trainers throughout the booking and course process.

What knowledge/experience do you draw upon for your role?

I have enjoyed being an administrator previously before my time here at PETA, and when starting at PETA, knowing I was entering a busier, livelier and faster paced environment. I knew that organisation and a calm head space and the want to deliver a high level of customer service along with a positive attitude will serve me well.

How do you approach your role on a day-to-day basis? What skills are required?

Within the Health and Safety department we run courses almost daily, this involves bookings, enquiries, prepping the course material and the understanding that delegates may have things come up as we know life gets busy! Where possible I will always try to help our training fit into your schedule.

What are you passionate about outside of work?

I enjoy spending time with my family, where we don’t all live together and some of us are dotted around the country – it’s lovely going to visit them on the weekends! I also enjoy visiting different places when booking a holiday, I prefer a more adventurous one!

What are your personal values, and what is important to you?

I am a team player, if my colleagues or customers need me, at any point please know if I can help or assist in any way, please do not hesitate to shout!
